The sixth annual Streamer Awards, scheduled to take place on November 12, have encountered an unexpected obstacle following the theft of the ceremony's trophies. The awards, designed to honor top livestreaming talent across categories such as Streamer of the Year, Best Variety Streamer, and Best VTuber, were stolen from the doorstep of one of the event's producers shortly after delivery.
On October 29, QTCinderella, the creator behind the awards, confirmed the incident on X. She described the situation as "incredibly embarrassing" and noted that the trophies had been taken from a producer's front porch in the Los Angeles area. Citing the loss with humor, she urged anyone in the region to keep an eye out for the items at local Goodwill stores or pawn shops. To assist in identification, she shared an image of the trophy design, which resembles the Sapphire Award previously presented to Valkyrae in 2023.
Addressing concerns about whether the stolen items were already personalized, QTCinderella clarified that nameplates are not attached until the night before the ceremony. Consequently, the winners' names were not engraved on the missing trophies. In a lighthearted response to the situation, she joked that the organizers might have to improvise by placing the winner's plates on coffee mugs for this year's show.
Despite the theft, preparations continue for the event, which will feature 37 categories celebrating creators from Twitch, YouTube, and Kick. Notable nominees for Streamer of the Year include IShowSpeed, CaseOh, Jynxzi, Stable Ronaldo, and Joe Bartolozzi. Additionally, Kai Cenat, IShowSpeed, and Jynxzi are among the most nominated creators across the ceremony. Public voting remains open on the official website until October 31, with the winners set to be revealed during the broadcast on November 12.
