Lego has revealed its first Godzilla set, a 5,363-piece model priced at $449.99 in the US and £349.99 in the UK. The Lego Ideas set is based on the monster’s appearance in Legendary’s Monsterverse movies and stands more than 27.5 inches tall. It is due to launch on November 27, 2026.
The finished model features blue dorsal fins, a movable head, and adjustable arms, wrists and fingers. Builders can attach an interchangeable Heat Ray effect to Godzilla’s mouth in place of his tongue, and choose whether to construct the tail facing left or right. The Godzilla website describes it as the largest Lego Ideas set released to date.
The design began as a submission by Lego Ideas user Matthew Esposito, who goes by MattE720. His concept reached the platform’s required 10,000 supporters after more than two years.
Lego also confirmed a separate 359-piece Godzilla Logo and Footprint set, numbered 40888. The bonus model includes Godzilla’s footprint, a brick-built logo and a miniature cityscape with a Mothra detail. It will be offered as a gift with purchase of the main set during its Black Friday launch, while supplies last.
