Team Spirit’s campaign at PGL Masters Bucharest 2026 ended before the playoffs after Natus Vincere won their deciding Swiss-stage match. Spirit entered the series as HLTV.org’s world No. 1, but NAVI secured the final playoff place from the 2-2 pool.

NAVI controlled the opening map on Cache before Spirit levelled the series on Dust2. The deciding map, Anubis, went to NAVI, giving the team its first victory over Spirit since February 2025, according to HLTV.

The result completed a recovery for NAVI after consecutive 0-2 defeats. They had started the event with wins over G2 and FURIA, including a second map against G2 that required three overtimes. BetBoom then beat them 13-10 on Dust II and 13-9 on Nuke, while Vitality followed with 13-2 and 13-9 wins on Inferno and Dust II.

Spirit also reached the decider after a difficult result against MOUZ on 27 October. They won Nuke 13-2 but lost Dust2 13-8 and Mirage 16-14, leaving both teams one defeat away from elimination.

NAVI will now face Vitality in the quarter-finals, meeting the same team that defeated them during the Swiss stage. Vitality will compete with Justinas “jL” Lekavicius as a stand-in after the organisation announced in August that he would cover BLAST Open Porto and PGL Masters Bucharest.

The other quarter-final matches are Nemiga against FUT, Aurora against MOUZ and BetBoom against FURIA. Nemiga and FURIA secured the remaining playoff places by beating The MongolZ and Liquid 2-0 respectively on the final group-stage day.

Teams eliminated with a 2-3 record finish ninth to 11th and receive US$31,250, while each quarter-final loser earns US$50,000. The winners’ prize is divided equally between the players and the organisation.

PGL Masters Bucharest is an offline S-Tier, Valve Tier 1 event featuring 16 teams. Its playoffs use a single-elimination bracket and include a third-place match, with the final matches scheduled to conclude on 31 October.
