Agibot tested its G2 humanoid robots in a Chinese supermarket, assigning them work across four periods of the day as part of a 24-hour showcase called “Robots Never Clock Out.” Four of the six robots completed nearly 2,000 tasks. The other two failed to meet the requirements for promotion to “official employees.”
One robot was responsible for cleaning but had to change its route because of a trash can. The other checked stock levels on shelves, but struggled to maintain the pace and was described as lacking initiative and enthusiasm. The report characterized its performance as “slacking off.”
The two robots will remain in an “observation” group, with the possibility of joining the other four as full-time employees later. The test was conducted by Agibot itself.
