A walkover in Lisbon could determine Asia’s final lineup for the PGL Major Singapore after TYLOO withdrew from a HyperX Retake Season 13 quarter-final on the cutoff day. Neither TYLOO nor Lynn Vision is expected to play again before the deadline, leaving little room for the Asian standings to change.

The Lisbon event, a Valve Tier 2 tournament organised by Hyped and PEW PEW, ran from 29 October to 1 November. It featured 13 teams, a €12,187.50 prize pool, GSL-format best-of-three groups and single-elimination best-of-three playoffs. TYLOO were listed in joint fifth to eighth place.

TYLOO and Natus Vincere both withdrew from the event, with organisers citing their commitments to IEM Beijing. The tournament overlapped with PGL Masters Bucharest and ended less than a day before IEM Beijing began. The Beijing competition is a 16-team Valve Tier 1 and S-Tier event running from 2 to 8 November, with $1.25 million in prize money.

TYLOO coach WeiJie ‘zhokiNg’ Zhong had previously indicated that the team’s points appeared sufficient after its win over 9z. He also discussed Dongkai ‘Jee’ Ji’s recovery and the challenges the squad has faced this season. However, TYLOO had no option but to compete in the Retake event before IEM Beijing, making the withdrawal significant for its Major qualification prospects.

In Europe, 100 Thieves claimed the final regional place after the last weekend’s results. Europe has 18 of the 32 invitations to Singapore, with the six highest-ranked eligible European teams in the 2 November standings advancing directly to Stage 3.

The final European spot came down to 100 Thieves and fnatic. Fnatic entered the final weekend in 18th place with no matches remaining and needed 100 Thieves to lose, followed by favourable changes in the recalculated standings. Neither condition occurred, and the European VRS placed 100 Thieves 18th while fnatic missed out.

The GLuck Moscow Cyber Games also produced a Singapore qualifier, with winners 1win earning an invitation to Stage 2. PGL used 2 November as the cutoff date, allowing the latest results to determine the tournament field.

The PGL Major Singapore is scheduled for 24 November to 13 December. It will feature 32 teams competing for $1.25 million in prize money.
