A Brooklyn food concept called Some Guy’s House is attracting attention online by serving steak meals directly through an apartment window rather than operating a traditional restaurant with tables.
The pop-up runs on Thursdays and Fridays from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Customers collect their orders through a custom-built pulley system, with reservations required online before visiting the window. Walk-ups are possible, although availability is limited.
A plate costs $25 and includes steak, a potato and spinach. Some Guy’s House offers 72 plates on Thursdays and 62 on Fridays, meaning customers who arrive without a reservation may not be able to get a meal.
The unusual setup has spread across social media, particularly Instagram. A New York-based influencer described the experience as “unbelievable” after trying it.
The concept follows another viral home-based food venture: Pizza from a balcony, a Norwegian operation that sold slices to passersby using a similar pulley system.
